Band 1 Example:
A patient requires an examination and x-ray. This patient’s course of treatment falls into Band 1 and they pay £26.80.
BAND 2 EXAMPLE:
A patient requires an examination, an x-ray and a simple filling. This patient’s course of treatment falls into band 2 and they pay £73.50. If the patient required more than 1 filling on a course of treatment they would still only pay £73.50
BAND 3 EXAMPLE:
A patient requires an examination, an x-ray and a crown or denture. This patient’s course of treatment falls into Band 3 and they pay £319.10
Patients are able to mix treatment options and have NHS and private work under the same course of treatment. Detailed estimates giving all the options available will always be given to the patient.
